Sunday October 12th: the Spinning Wheel Film Festival

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa,
Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

The 6th annual Spinning Wheel Sikh Film Festival is happening this long weekend on October 10th, 11th, and 12th. The festival features several films and documentaries that highlight filmmakers focusing on East Indian and Sikhi-related themes. It is taking place at the Isabel Bader Theatre at downtown Toronto (93 Charles St. West).

As a special treat, on Sunday October 12th the Gurmat School will be taking place at this film festival. On this particular day, the festival will be holding a "children's cluster" with a lot of fun, informational, and educational activities.

Admission for kids under 17 is free, while tickets for those over 17 are priced at $20.00. Tickets for Sunday's "children's cluster" are available through Samsher Singh (416 991-0648) and Harpreet Kaur (906 464-3712). Tickets must be bought before Sunday.

Depending on the number of tickets that are sold, a bus may be arranged, to leave the Gurduwara at precisely 8:30 AM. However, this will be entirely dependant on the number of tickets that are sold. We will keep you updated on the potential for a bus.

We encourage you to check out the festival's official website (www.sikhwheel.com), where you will find showings for Friday and Saturday as well.
